Phosphate

Treatment of a metal surface with a phosphoric acid based product. This treatment produces a coating which improves the adhesion of the paint and the resistance to corrosion. Said coating is formed mainly by Iron Phosphate and phosphates of some other heavy metals.

GF PHOS 252DS

Mild acid liquid cleaning concentrate that is used for cleaning of all grades of cold rolled steel, zinc and aluminum. GF PHOS 252DS will apply an iron phosphate conversion coating to steel and iron, yielding a surface that is ideal for painting. GF PHOS 252DS will form a conversion coating at 100°F. GF PHOS 252DS is suitable for spray applications. This product meets the TTC490-Iron Phosphate specification. GF PHOS 252DS can be used as the first stage of a two-stage or three-stage pretreatment system. It is ideal as the third stage of a four-stage or five-stage system, utilizing an appropriate GF CLEAN product in stage one and a GF SEAL product in the fifth stage. The compound will apply a uniform 25-40 mg/ft2 iron phosphate conversion coating to steel and iron, depending on pH and concentration of the product in the system.

GF PHOS 758

Clear liquid concentrated "appliance quality" iron-phosphate conversion coating compound specifically designed for use in five or more stage pretreatment systems.

IPI-25NF

Liquid iron phosphatizer for spray wash and immersion systems is designed for multi-metal prepaint processing. Steel, iron, zinc, galvanized and aluminum parts can be processed using this product. IPI-25NF will produce an iron phosphate conversion coating on steel and iron parts. It will prepare zinc, galvanized and aluminum parts for painting by slightly etching the metal surface.

Perma-Gard 3028

Versatile nickel-modified, zinc phosphatizing compound formulated to easily work in either a spray or immersion system. Perma- Gard 3028 produces a crystalline structure that is ideal for bonding a variety of polymers to metal and readily facilitates excellent paint adhesion and salt spray resistance.

Perma-Gard 3048

Zinc phosphatizing compound is a superior formulation specifically designed to operate at low tempertures and consistently provide needle-shaped microcrystalline coatings on ferrous metals. Perma-Gard 3048 produces dense and uniform crystalline structures that provide a superior base for paint adhesion and corrosion resistance.

Perma-Gard 3055 / Perma-Gard 3055 R1

Versatile, manganese-modified, zinc phosphatizing system for the pretreatment of steel, galvanized steel, and aluminum. This technology is formulated to easily work in both immersion and spray wash applications. It consists of Perma-Gard 3055 makeup compound and Perma-Gard 3055 R1 replenisher. The Perma-Gard 3055 system produces a dense micro-crystalline coating that maximizes paint adhesion and salt spray resistance.

Liquid cleaner/iron phosphatizer for spray washers is designed specifically for one-step cleaning and phosphatizing in three-stage spray wash systems at temperatures of 90° to 140° F. Parts manufactured from steel, aluminum, iron, zinc and galvanized metal can all be processed with this product. Lower operating temperatures offer the potential for energy savings while meeting pretreatment quality.

Zirconium

Also called transition metal based coatings, free of phosphates, that replace the traditional iron and zinc phosphates. The advantage of these products is their superior performance to iron and zinc phosphate, their application at low temperatures and the lower generation of sludge in the tanks, which results in savings for the customer in maintenance of their equipment.

DuraTEC 100

Liquid phosphate free pretreatment product is designed to provide superior paint adhesion and corrosion resistance to mild steel, galvanized steel, and aluminum substrates. DuraTEC 100 offers the potential for savings based on its long bath lives as well as its low operating temperatures of ambient to 115°F.

Black Oxide

It is a conversion coating for ferrous materials, stainless steel, copper-based alloys, zinc and others. It is used to add resistance to corrosion, to improve appearance, and to minimize light reflection. One of the advantages of this process is that it does not impact the dimension of the part due to the fact that the coating layer deposited is very small (1 micrometer thick).

DURABLACK LIQUID

Concentrated product used for blackening copper and copper bearing alloys. A conversion coating of black copper is deposited.

Pentrate Ultra

Single component powder product formulated to produce a black oxide coating on steel. PENTRATE ULTRA does not contain any explosive or hazardous chlorite or chlorate compounds, is nonpoisonous and does not contain any cyanide. We recommend the use of adequate ventilation for the PENTRATE ULTRA tanks.

PX-5

Represents a new and important contribution to black oxide finishing. It is a single component product that is operated at the exceptionally low boiling temperature of 250°F. - 260°F.

  • Formulated to blacken stainless steels, cast and malleable iron.

  • Meets the requirements of Mil-DTL-13924 for Class 4 black oxide coatings.

  • Granular, free-flowing, white powder.


Seal

They are applied in the last stage of the pre-treatment process and prior to the application of the paint or final coating. The main jobs of the seals are to be a protective barrier to the phosphatized area, to fill holes in the phosphate coating and to act as a link between the coating and the paint.

DuraLINK™ 450

Non-chrome pretreatment compound proven to enhace coating corrosion resistance and paint adhesion. This chemistry is designed for use as a final seal after initial pretreatment. DuraLINK 450 is designed to optimally perform with a variety of coating types and substrates.

GF Seal 320 NCS

Non-chrome pretreatment compound proven to enhance coating corrosion resistance and paint adhesion. This chemistry is designed for use as a final seal after initial pretreatment. GF Seal 320NCS is designed to optimally perform with a variety of coating types and substrates.

GF SEAL 439

Non-chromated final rinse for use in multi-stage power washer and immersion applications. GF SEAL 439 is a mildly alkaline product that employs the DuBois Final Rinse Technology. GF SEAL 439 is a mildly alkaline product that serves to enhance the adhesion properties of organic topcoats as well as enhance the corrosion protection of the painted part.

GF SEAL 443

Non-chromate final acid rinse that preserves properly cleaned and phosphatized metal substrates prior to painting. GF SEAL 443 is formulated to improve paint adhesion by depositing a light film over phosphatized parts with a low amount of dissolved solids. GF SEAL 443 does not stain parts, show through paint or cause paint oxidation. The use of GF SEAL 443 increases corrosion protection measured in salt spray hours.

  • Safe on iron, steel, galvanized steel, terneplated steel, zinc, aluminum.

  • Multiple Uses.

  • Used in dip or power wash applications.

  • Soluble liquid suitable for automatic feed systems can be used at ambient.

SECURE SR 5000 TR

Non-chrome final rinse is an acidic liquid concentrate which promotes paint adhesion and improves salt spray resistance with a variety of paints. It is also commonly used to adjust the operating pH of phosphatizing baths. SECURE SR 5000 TR should be your product of choice when you use a variety of different paints and you need to improve adhesion and salt spray resistance.

SPECTRALINK

Pretreatment compound proven to enhance coating corrosion resistance and paint adhesion. The molecules in the product chemically react with a metal substrate and chemically intertwine with the coating. SPECTRALINK is designed to optimally perform with a variety of coating types and compositions.

  • Excellent for industries coating with multiple resin and coating types.

  • Molecules LINK coating to metal and increases salt spray performance and coating adhesion.

  • An innovative alternative to replace chromate, which can be used with or without iron phosphate pretreatment.

Descalers and Cleaners

Products that help remove deposits of various salts, calcareous or oxide, that form in the equipment due to the by-products generated by the chemical reaction of detergents and phosphates on metal parts.

ALIDOX NF

Acid cleaner and descaler is a non- foaming spray and immersion cleaner designed for the rapid cleaning, descaling and desmutting of metal surfaces. This highly concentrated product is versatile as it can be used in a wide variety of industries; metal cleaning and surface preparation, food plant cleaning, and heat exchange surface descale. This product is also used for the cleaning of UF, NF, and RO membranes.

Benefits:

  • Excellent for providing uniform etching and desmutting of Aluminum, passivation of Stainless Steel, and brightening of Brass and Copper.

  • Effective at removing light to medium buildups of protein and inorganic scales.

  • Has been tested for use on all major types of UF, NF and RO membranes. Should not be used on Ceramic MF membranes.

  • Particularly effective in removing scale associated with Zinc Phosphatizing operations, as residues of ALIDOX NF will not contaminate zinc phosphating operation.

 

GF ACID CLEAN 386

Clear acidic liquid concentrate especially designed for removal of scale and rust. This fine product is inhibited to minimize attack on stainless steel, steel and aluminum surfaces.

Benefits:

  • Will not break down in use at elevated temperatures since it is completely stabilized.

  • The product will take heat without loss of activity.

  • Minimal toxic fumes or odor to contend with when you use this “field proven” product.

  • Moderately low foaming product and it is super concentrated.

  • Can be used cold or hot for rust and scale remover.

 

Red Acid Cleaner

Liquid, self-foaming acid product for the removal of hard water films and scale on stainless equipment surfaces. It also contains emulsifying detergent surfactants to help remove oils and other soils. The surfactants also promote free rinsing, leaving surfaces bright and clean. Red Acid Cleaner can be used in all food processing industries as an environmental foam cleaner/descaler.
